Australia Raises Bar for Skilled Migration

September 19, 2007 · Leave a Comment

New changes to Australia’s General Skilled Migration programme have now come into force that would impact foreign students most. Under the changes, requirements for applicants with skills in professional, technical or managerial occupations will be raised from an International English Language Testing System (IELTS) score of 5 (vocational) to 6 (competent).  Apparently, changes would have the greatest impact on foreign students, many of whom seek to stay in Australia. var RN = new String (Math.random()); var RNS = RN.substring (2,11); var b2 = ‘ ‘; if (doweshowbellyad==1) bellyad.innerHTML = b2;
